Top-grain leather furniture sale happening now
Calgarians looking to replace their old sofas, love seats and recliners are in luck. Wayman Services Liquidation Centre has recently acquired several top-grain leather furniture pieces that will upgrade any living space.
In stock right now is a good selection of sofas, some love seats, and recliners. They all have top-grain leather on all seating areas, armrests, and footrests, and a leather match on the sides and back. Most have power recliners built in, and several sofas are zero gravity, which suspend the body in a neutral position, allowing for optimal weight distribution.
The reason Wayman Liquidation Centre is able to offer this special leather furniture sale is the pieces are undeliverables, meaning that, for whatever reason, they never made it to their intended first home. They are manufacturer refurbished and reconditioned and provide casual elegance combined with the right kind of support.
Why choose leather furniture?
Leather furniture offers a blend of luxury, durability, and timeless style, making it an excellent choice for any home. Its timeless and classic appearance adds sophistication to any room, and it ages beautifully, developing a unique patina over time.
The durability of leather is well known, and leather furniture can withstand heavy daily wear and tear. It’s a smart investment that lasts for years. It is also hypoallergenic and does not harbour dust mites, pet dander, or other allergens like fabric furniture can. Leather furniture is also very breathable, despite what one may think, which makes it is the right temperature at all times of the year.
Caring for your leather furniture
Even though you are getting your living/family room pieces at leather furniture sale prices, you will still want to take care of your purchase despite the great price. The more you look after your furniture, the more it will give back in terms of longevity and bang for the buck.
Regular leather furniture cleaning duties should include:
- Dusting: Use a soft, dry cloth or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently remove dust. This is crucial to prevent dirt and debris from accumulating on surfaces, which can eventually turn into just plain dirt.
- Wiping: Carefully wipe the leather with a damp cloth every few weeks. Use distilled water to avoid any minerals that can leave spots and make sure the cloth is not too wet. Excess moisture can damage the leather.
- Spot cleaning: Act quickly for spills or stains! Blot the spill with a clean, dry cloth to absorb as much liquid as possible. Avoid rubbing, as this can push the liquid deeper into the leather. If necessary, use a mild soap solution (a few drops of mild dish soap in a bowl of warm water) and a soft cloth to gently clean the area. Test all cleaning solutions on a hidden area first to ensure they don’t discolour the leather.
Condition your leather furniture every six to 12 months. Leather can dry out and crack over time if not properly moisturized. Use a high-quality leather conditioner to keep the leather supple and carefully follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Avoid over-conditioning. While conditioning is important, over-conditioning can lead to a buildup of residue that attracts dirt. Stick to the recommended frequency as per manufacturer’s directions to keep your leather looking its best.
You will also want to protect your leather furniture from sunlight and heat. If you need to place your sofa, love seat or recliners directly in front of a window, use a blanket to keep the sun’s harsh rays from fading the colour and drying out the leather. You don’t want it to crack. Using blankets or throws can also protect the leather from spills, stains, and everyday wear-and-tear. This is especially useful in households with children or pets.
To further keep your furniture from drying out, keep it away from heat sources like radiators or fireplaces.
Definitely save your leather from sharp objects that can cause scratches or punctures. Be mindful of items like keys, pets’ claws, and even clothing with metal accessories. If your leather furniture gets scratched, treat them by gently rubbing them with a clean finger or a cloth slightly dampened with distilled water. For deeper scratches, consider using a leather repair kit, or seek professional help.
Although ballpoint pens are not much in use anymore, they may pose the greatest threat to your leather furniture. Ink stains are very challenging to remove from leather. Dab the stain with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol, but do this sparingly and test in an inconspicuous area first. For persistent stains, professional cleaning may be necessary.
